La Joya ISD is incredibly proud to celebrate Nathan Montelongo, a 7th-grade student at LDZMS, who has been named one of the Top 300 Junior Innovators nationwide in the 2026 Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge! 🎉👏
Selected from 1,997 entrants across the country, Nathan earned this prestigious recognition for his science fair project, “Shellfish Contributions to Ecosystems.” 🐚🔬
From earning 1st Place in Animal Sciences at the Regional Science Fair, to receiving the Texas Master Naturalist Special Award at the State Science Fair, Nathan continues to take his passion for science and innovation to new heights! 🚀
